Funded by Biocenter Oulu Institute, ICON aims to better understand musculoskeletal disease and, in particular, low back pain (LBP).

We work closely together with the PRIMO research group at the University of Oulu Hospital.

ICON continues the research (see publications) on finding new interventions for LBP but adds a critical component to the mix: mobile follow-up studies that exploit both objective and subjective data collection methods.
